If there is one thing the last several years have taught me, it’s that life is about second chances. Every day, every moment, every interaction, every breath is an opportunity to begin again.

Eating and Nutrition

I have been studying nutrition and eating since I was a teenager and I have worked hard to find balance in these two areas. Nutrition and eating may seem like one and the same, but they are both complicated, controversial, multifaceted topics that deserve to be examined closely because they affect every part of our lives—our mental and physical health, our relationships, our sleep, energy, immune systems, and our local and global economy.

Nutrition:

I became interested in nutrition as a teenager after moving next door to my grandmother’s house. She had an organic garden and made almost everything from scratch. I saw how much healthier she was than my other grandmothers and I noticed how much better her food made me feel. Since then, I have learned much about nutrition that has helped me and my children with everything from recovering from the common cold and improving acne to helping one of my children with symptoms secondary to PANDAS, an autoimmune condition.
